4.0 Registration Process – Meghalaya NEET Counselling 2026
Meghalaya currently conducts an offline counselling process. Here’s how to participate:
1. Obtain the Application Form
Download the application form from meghealth.gov.in or collect it physically from the Directorate’s office in Shillong.

5.0Meghalaya NEET Counselling Seat Matrix
The Directorate of Health Services (DHS), Government of Meghalaya publishes the official seat matrix before each round of Meghalaya NEET UG Counselling.
The official seat matrix is released before every counselling round and is updated based on seat availability, reservation policy, participating institutions, and the counselling schedule notified by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), Government of Meghalaya.

North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong
- MBBS Seats: - 50 (includes Central Pool and State Quota)
- BDS: Not available at NEIGRIHMS
Note: NEIGRIHMS is under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and manages its admissions partially through MCC and partially through state nominations.
Central Pool Seats
Meghalaya receives seats under the Central Pool from other states or centrally funded institutions, which are allotted through state counselling.
7.0Meghalaya NEET Counselling Process 2026
Step 1 – Counselling Interview
- DHS calls eligible candidates for an in-person interview.
- Candidates submit original documents for verification.

9.0Who is Eligible for Meghalaya NEET Counselling 2026?
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
1. NEET 2026 Qualification
Candidates must qualify NEET 2026 with the minimum required percentile:
- UR: 50th percentile
- SC/ST/OBC: 40th percentile
- UR-PwD: 45th percentile
2. Domicile Requirement
- Must be a permanent resident of Meghalaya or fall under specific government categories (e.g. children of state government employees).
3. Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2) with:
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology/Biotechnology
- English
Minimum qualifying marks:
- General: 50%
- Reserved Categories: 40%

10.0Reservation Policy in Meghalaya NEET Counselling
Reservation in Meghalaya NEET Counselling is provided as per the Reservation and Roster Policy of the Government of Meghalaya and the admission rules notified by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), Government of Meghalaya.
Candidates claiming reservation must submit valid category certificates and other supporting documents issued by the competent authority during counselling and document verification.
