4.0Who is Eligible for the IMO Class 6th Exam?
Students from grade 6 are eligible for the first level of Olympiads without any minimum marks requirement. Those who qualify for the second level of the IMO include:
- The top 5% of students in each class are based on the Level 1 exam performance.
- The top 25 rank holders in each zone from every class.
- The highest scorer from each class in schools where at least 10 students appeared and scored 50% or more marks.
5.0Step-by-Step Guide for Applying to IMO Maths Class 6
Here's the step-by-step procedure for the application process:
- Request Prospectus: Registered schools receive prospectuses with registration forms automatically. Unregistered schools can request prospectuses through an email at info@sofworld.org or a phone call at 0124-4951200.
- Fill Registration Forms: Schools have to fill out the registration forms given in the prospectus completely and precisely. These forms are the School Registration Form (SRF) and the Students' Registration Sheet (SRS).
- Submit Forms: The filled registration forms should be submitted to SOF within the due date. Schools should also make sure that the provided guidelines are complete all forms.
- Create Roll Numbers: Upon receiving the Students' Registration Sheets (SRS), SOF will register the applicant's school and students. SOF will create roll numbers for all the registered students as per the details filled in the SRS.
Confirmation: After the registration is over, schools will be notified by SOF with confirmation of their registration as well as the roll numbers allotted to their students.
6.0IMO Olympiad Class 6 Exam Pattern
The IMO Exam Pattern follows a multiple-choice question (MCQ) format and is administered to students of Class 6. The exam comprises two levels: Level 1 and Level 2.

- The IMO Level 1 test consists of 50 multiple-choice questions and takes one hour.
