Vanda Science International Competition (VANDA)

The VANDA Science International Competition (VANDA) is an annual international science competition in which students assess their critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills by identifying hidden information and applying it to solve questions.

VANDA is open to students from primary 3 to secondary 4 (Grade 3 to Grade 11). The competition follows the Singapore School Science Syllabus and emphasises higher-order thinking skills. The competition questions are based on a strong foundation in scientific knowledge and methodology.

Participating in VANDA helps students become comfortable with various science olympiad papers and encourages them for the future.

The VANDA Science International Competition is an annual science Olympiad. It promotes critical thinking and utilises the Singapore School Science Syllabus to engage students with familiar topics.

VANDA Olympiad questions are grounded in science knowledge and a scientific approach. Top achievers can win medals and money awards and get selected for the elite VANDA Global Finals.

2.0Vanda Science Competition 2026: Exam Dates

The 2026 VANDA Science International Competition exam date will be listed on the official VANDA website.  VANDAA 2026 will take place in May 2026 and its registration proceeds will start in May 2026, as per last year’s trends. Below is the schedule for the VANDA International Science Competition.

3.0Vanda Science Competition Syllabus 2026

VANDA adopts the Singapore School Science Syllabus from grades 3 to 11 in the areas of physics, biology, chemistry, earth science, and environmental science. The level of difficulty of the scientific concepts escalates as the students move into higher grades.
